Description Meters Pulling Force Meter

When precision machining making sure a tool does not oscillate off-axis and keeps its concentricity error (run-out) as low as possible is paramount. One of the most important causes of eccentric rotation happens when the tool holder cone is anchored in the machine tool with the wrong traction force.

PFM measures the spindle clamping force for both machine tools and presetting machines easily and quickly.

PFM was created to monitor the tool holder clamping force in order to avoid problems of poor machine precision and make safer working conditions of the operator.

Thanks to interchangeable adapters it is possible to measure the clamping force for all types of tool holder spindle attachment and also BIG + PLUS, NIKKEN 3LOCK 40/50.

Our PFM tool is able to measure, with a good approximation margin, the tensile loads of most machine tool spindles. However, when used proficiently it can detect loads with extreme precision.

Therefore, precision and repeatability depend on its use:

  • For approximate measurements to differences of 60/70 Kg max.
  • For accurate measurements

The precision and repeatability are related to the conditions of use and the exact positioning in the machine tool holder spindle. Errors and poor repeatability are caused by tightening when off-axis.
