Description Measurement detection system Incremental encoder
What is an encoder?
The encoder is a transducer capable of converting the movement made to its shaft into an electrical signal. This signal is used by the system to quantify and control the movement of moving parts.
The encoder provides an incremental indication referring to the previous position.
